With its well-known waterways such as the réservoir Baskatong, Blue Sea Lake or the 31 Mile Lake, its exceptional forests such as the La Vérendrye wildlife preserve or the Forêt de l’Aigle and its lavish nature, the Gatineau Valley is a magnificent and very well preserved area. So you want to learn a little bit about the region while having fun at the same time? Set out and discover the sites developed along Route des draveurs, go and see Pont-de-pierre, visit the Centre d’interprétation de l’historique de la protection de la forêt contre le feu de Maniwaki (forest fire protection interpretation Center) which will give you an opportunity to learn more about the history of forest firefighters, discover the Centre d’interprétation du doré jaune au réservoir Baskatong (yellow walleye interpretation center), to name a few. Regardless of what you choose, you will spend memorable moments discovering your region, the Gatineau Valley.
