Gatineau HilsAs a vacationer, you undoubtedly chose to spend the nicest days of the season in the Gatineau Valley to enjoy the beauty of its landscapes and its waterways.

That is only normal! With its 3200 lakes and its numerous tourist attractions, the Gatineau Valley is no doubt “an area worth discovering”.

Although many of you feel your cottages represent a “part of heaven”, why not heighten the experience and get out and discover just how much more our beautiful region has to offer you.

        With its well-known waterways such as the réservoir Baskatong, Blue Sea Lake
or the 31 Mile Lake, its exceptional forests such as the La Vérendrye wildlife preserve or the Forêt de l’Aigle and its lavish nature, the Gatineau Valley is a magnificent and very well preserved area.

So you want to learn a little bit about the region while having fun at the same time? ski

Set out and discover the sites developed along Route des draveurs, go and see Pont-de-pierre, visit the Centre d’interprétation de l’historique de la protection de la forêt contre le feu de Maniwaki (forest fire protection interpretation Center) which will give you an opportunity to learn more about the history of forest firefighters, discover the Centre d’interprétation du doré jaune au réservoir Baskatong (yellow walleye interpretation center), to name a few.

Regardless of what you choose, you will spend memorable moments discovering your region, the Gatineau Valley.

 

Are you more the athletic type?
Why not go out for a round of golf on one of the five courses in the Gatineau Valley, or go for a spin down our bicycle path, or experience the tree-to-tree adventure at the Forêt de l’Aigle, or take out a raft and conquer the rapids of the Gatineau River!
There is much to experience in the region.
